Technology, commonly abbreviated as VIT, located in Vellore, Tamil Nadu is thus, considered as one of

Getting admission in VIT university is absolutely similar to that of other universities. You have to go
through the Entrance test. VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is conducted in more than 60
countries and in every state of India with more than 2 lakh candidates appearing for the test per year.
The selection process is based solely on the merit list of the candidates applying for the test. The
application form is available in both online as well as offline mode since October 28, 2018 and the date
of submission of the application form is extended till March 21, 2019. Thus, you may get the application
form with important information brochure. A candidate can fetch an application form from both online
and the offline mode against an application fee of 1150 INR that can be paid either through net banking,
debit or credit card transactions.
The VITEE examination will be conducted in an online mode from April 10, 2019 to that of April 21, 2019.
The examination will be conducted in 3 successive sessions:
- Session 1 – 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
- Session 2 – 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Session 3 – 4 p.m. to 6: 30 p.m
After you complete your slot booking in the third week of March, 2019, you will be eligible for
downloading the VITEEE 2019 Admit card. The tentative result of the examination shall be out by the
last week of April, 2019.
Just like any other universities, the counselling process of the VIT university depends on the rank a
candidate holds! The dates are allotted based on the rank of the candidate in the VITEE entrance test.
Ranks 1-8000, 8001-14,000, 14,001-20,000, 20,001- 25,000, 25,001- 40,000 will go one after the other
for counselling in Second week of May 2019, Ranks 40,001- 55,000, 55,001- 70,000, 70,001- 85,000,
85,001- 99,999 will opt for counselling successively on the third week of May 2019. The candidates need
to visit the VITEE website to view their rankings. No separate post shall be sent to them. Also, they shall
be receiving a notification via an SMS on their registered mobile number. The tentative results would be
declared on the official website of VITEE by the last week of April, 2019.
A candidate who has not appeared on the VITEE entrace test is not eligible to qualify for the admission
procedure. The admission would be held purely on the basis of the rank secured by the candidate in the
VITEE 2019 as conducted by VIT. Based on the rank of their entrance test, the candidates would be
shortlisted and call for counselling (as mentioned above). VITEE for B.Tech programme is the same for
VIT Bhopal, VIT Chennai, VIT Vellore and VIT AP. The eligible candidates can select the campus and
stream of their choice at the time of the admission. Well, a consistent performance of the candidate and
his/her marksheet of standard 10 and standard 12 would be checked as well at the time of campus
placement. Besides, during the admission process, you should remain beware of any middlemen or
agents. This is because VIT has not authorized any agent for the admission process, thus, the procedure
is absolutely transparent and open only to the eligible candidates.
VIT takes a keen interest in the academic of the students, and for this reason, they have started the
management quota schemes so that students who might not have succeeded in securing optimum
marks in the admission test can take admission directly under the VIT with the privilege of management
quota. They are required to pay a certain amount of money to the university's fund and continue their
education in the top university. The university, however, treats every candidate equally by welcoming
them with open arms and helping them build their career. For admission through management quota,
the minimum aggregate percentage of the candidate should be above 60 %. Thousands of students take
admission under management quota each year and secure their future with VIT.
- Group A B.tech programs offered by VIT include Biotechnology, Biomedical, Computer Science
and Engineering (Specialization in Bioinformatics), Information Technology, Mechanical
Engineering (Specialization in Energy Engineering), Electrical and Electronics Engineering,
Electronics and Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and
Instrumentation Engineering, Fashion Technology and Product and Industrial Engineering.***B.Tech. Electronics and Computer Engineering and Fashion Technology programs are available only
in the Chennai campus of VIT University.
- Group B B.tech programs offered by the VIT University include Mechanical Engineering

Criteria for Scholarship
- Toppers of Each state board and Central board will be facilitated with 100% Tuition fee waiver
for all the four years.
- VITEEE rank holders of 1 to 50 will receive 75% Tuition fee waiver for all the four years.
- VITEEE rank holders of 1 to 50 will be receiving a 50% Tuition fee waiver for all the four years.

The highest package offered to the last 2018 B.tech batch was 12 LPA and to that of M.tech candidates
was 13 LPA, M.Sc candidates was 9 LPA and BCA candidates was 10 LPA. A lot of companies visit the
